BlackBerry has updated its cross-platform messaging app BBM with a slew of new features and paid subscriptions. You can now pay a recurring fee of $0.99 per month to remove ads, and get a custom PIN for a separate monthly fee of $1.99. Custom PINs must be between six and eight characters in length, are not case sensitive and can only include letters and numbers. Premium users also get a little badge on their avatar.
