Google Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), the company’s effort to help publishers speed up their sites, has gone live today with the company quietly beginning to show results in searches. The AMP project is Google’s version of Facebook’s Instant Articles. The company created a specification that publishers can use to output speedy, lightweight pages for visitors that load in a second or two, rather than making them wait around.
