Foodpanda and Delivery Hero swap acquisitions in India, Mexico and South America

Rival food delivery apps, Foodpanda – which is backed by Rocket Internet – and Delivery Hero, have completed a series of deals to acquire companies from each other in India, Mexico and 11 South American countries. Foodpanda has bought TastyKhana, a food delivery portal in India which has partnered with 10,000 restaurants in 173 cities from Delivery Hero. It also acquired Mexican companies, PedidosYa, SeMeAntoja and Superantojo, from its rival. Delivery Hero has snapped up businesses in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezula from Hellofood, a Foodpanda brand.
