When they’re not running cellphone stores or taking our jobs, some robots are busy breaking world records. At the end of last month, the Qingdao Beer Festival in Shandong, China, saw 1,007 bots show off their best moves and set the Guiness World Record for the most robots dancing simultaneously. Chinese hardware maker Ever Win organized the event, which featured 43.8cm-tall QRC-2 robots being controlled by a single smartphone and dancing in sync without falling over for a full minute – beating the previous record of 540 bots shaking their tailfeathers simultaneously.
