The much leaked Android device that BlackBerry has been cooking up has finally been confirmed by the Canadian company during its Q2 financial results. While it doesn’t go into detail about the confirmed specs of the device, BlackBerry did confirm the ‘Priv’ name (it was previously leaked under the name ‘Venice’) and said it will be available “late in the calendar year in major markets in-store and online.” Playing to the company’s existing strengths (and customer base), the Priv will also apparently offer ‘best in class’ security and support Android for Work on BES12.
