Postmates comes to the rescue as Uber kills off its Instant Delivery food service in NYC
A month after Uber launched its food delivery app in New York City, the company has killed off the ‘instant’ option that brought customers their orders in as little as 10 minutes. UberEats launched in 2014 and got a standalone app last December. The company said that it’s turning off Instant Delivery only in New York; other areas won’t be affected. People in the city can still use the app to order food from more than 100 restaurants that Uber partners with there.
