Uber has issued two statements after one of its drivers allegedly raped a passenger in New Delhi, India, last Friday. A female passenger who rode in an Uber cab in the capital city on Friday night was allegedly raped by her driver, Shiv Kumar Yadav, aged 32. Yadav, who was apprehended by police yesterday in connection with the crime, is a repeat offender: he was previously arrested in another rape case in 2011 and spent seven months in prison, though he claims to have been acquitted in the case (as yet unverified). Sony’s online service for its gaming console, PlayStation Network, is currently down, with users reporting issues logging in over the past couple of hours — and notorious hacker outfit Lizard Squad claims they’re responsible for the outage.
